Facade Design and Engineering programme at the University of Southern Denmark

The University of Southern Denmark’s FACETS lab invites applications for its Facade Design and Engineering programme. Tailored for BSc students in architecture, architectural engineering, civil engineering, and renewable energy, this programme offers a unique opportunity to delve into the forefront of Industry 4.0 technologies and AI applied to the facades, aiming for decarbonisation of construction industry.

Students with a keen interest in fields like AI, computational design, and virtual reality, will find an ideal environment for research and innovation. The programme supports customised research stays and thesis supervision across diverse topics including Predictive AI for façade engineering, building performance and human comfort, facade computational design and engineering, virtual façade test beds, and additive manufacturing of facade systems.
