EFN Conference – Teaching Facades for a Sustainable Future

The annual conference of the European Façade Network at Gulbenkian Foundation is taking place in Lisbon, Portugal on 14th June 2022. This is the first event organized under the auspices of the European Façade Network to be promoted as in-person conference since the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic.

Each year the EFN Conference has a different theme. The main theme this year is “Teaching Facades for a Sustainable Future”, a theme inspired by our mission to provide quality and up to date educational programmes in line with the technology sector which is constantly and rapidly evolving to help existing and future buildings achieve resilience and sustainable development for all.

The conference offers an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, results and challenges in the topic of building facades, especially with regard of teaching topics to be approached by universities and colleges. Topics include Innovation, Climate transition, Industry trends and Teachings of facades to address current and future challenges with respect to climate change, sustainability, and social responsibility.
